I invite people and my friends to read this discussion on dating. It’s of a European asking Americans what dating means, because dating as Americans call it doesn’t really exist in Europe. I discovered this cultural gap while in Germany. We were at a concert for Maxïmo Park and the lead singer was explaining one of their songs, and referred to dating as an American term.

Songs in my Head: “Going Missing” by Maxïmo Park
Every once in a while–while driving to work, listening to albums, playing in the park, or sitting on the toilet–I get a song that just sticks or pops in my head. But these types of songs are different. These aren’t the ones you typically find on the radio, or the songs with the catchy chorus (Who Let The Dogs Out anyone?). It’s something I dabbled with on my Twitter and Facebook page. I received plenty of responses, often in support of their song and sometimes just to say “Wow, never heard this before, love it.” This goes a step beyond the ‘what are you listening to’ message, and goes to set a tone or an emotion for me or perhaps a person.
Without further adieu, here is the song. I was working on my highly anticipated new layout* while listening to some old tunes from 2006. This song came up, and I couldn’t help but want to share it.
