My friend recommended that I put this song up, so I said why not? I glanced at another friend’s status a month ago expressing her disappointment in not discovering Arcade Fire sooner. Don’t make the same mistake.

Songs in my head: “To lose my life” by White Lies
Perhaps the single moment I knew I would love Lollapalooza was with this song. We didn’t know what we were getting into, but this song just made the entire festival for me. It could be nostalgia, or it could be a simply a great song, for the reason I love it.
(EDIT: Bumped up the resolution. Usually I make it small if there is live-video so that people don’t form a misconception. Music is about the sounds rather than the eyes, afterall.)
Songs in my Head: “Gold and Warm” by Bad Veins
I casually came across this song while sifting through Internet radio stations. Only a handful of times have I listened to it. I feel torn between whether to really like this song or to accept it as an indie band trying too hard. I can admit that I am a sucker for this style of music Bad Veins uses, and to get a full appreciation for this song I will need to hear their entire album.
